Tate Britain: World Goes Pop

'Inspired by Ushio Shinohara's painting, “Doll Festival,” from 1966. The imagery is constructed from elements such as sticks, styrofoam balls, and painted foam, eluding to a physicality that is created from Shinohara's colour choices and simplified shapes.'

Gucci Acqua Di Fiori

'I saw Gucci’s new fragrance Gucci Bloom Acqua di Fiori as something that could inspire a twist on a classic. Because of that, I focused on classics that could be used to create something new: Italian Memphis Design, verdant flora, and the natural beauty of a field of wildflowers, all to create the imaginary wonderland within the setting of a scene that I could interpret as Gucci Bloom Acqua di Fiori.'

Music To Your Eyes

'Through the use of multiple mediums ranging from photography, wall reliefs, inflatables and a virtual reality experience, we encourage visitors to enter their world of insatiable optimism and explosive colour. The photographs on these walls are real—they are not 3D. The bodysuits were designed specifically for this show, and the sculpted shields held by those bodies were cut and painted by hand. We embrace the fact that they are imperfect and flawed. In the photographs on the walls, we camouflage ourselves as body sculptures, drenched in pattern and colour that transcends from these images to sculptural wall hangings to inflatables hanging from the ceiling and finally to virtual reality discoverable through a headset.'
