Colour associations for different letters for people with grapheme-colour synesthesia. This is from a sample of 6588 synesthetes in the US, reported in Witthoft, Winawer, and Eagleman 2015.
 It's not only sound and smells that stimulate synesthesia, associating a colour to letters is one of the first sines of synesthesia. This study from PLUS ONE presents the associations for different letters for people with grapheme-colour synesthesia
